Start with your reason for studying

Begin with your reason for studying. You might want to understand a subject, work towards another qualification or explore a different direction. Keep that reason beside you when comparing routes, so your choice is based on what you want to learn as well as where you can travel.

Bring your qualifications and experience

Choose the right starting route

Our listed four-year degrees include a foundation year. The two-year FdA routes are foundation degrees, which are a different qualification. A one-year top-up normally builds on relevant higher education study. We can help you identify which route to check with the provider.

Plan your study week and costs

Finally, plan an ordinary week. Include teaching, online sessions where relevant, independent study, assessments, travel and your other responsibilities. Our help is free to students; the course itself may have tuition fees and other costs. Confirm those costs and any funding decision before making commitments.
